What an explosion of color Mimi. You saw the scene, walked up and closed the deal. Finished with a winner. Too bad the Cards didn't do the same thing today. Oh well, I didn't think they would go undefeated anyway. Love the full frame of flowers. Good post.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

What a gorgeous splash of color, I can almost feel the warmth of the captured sun. The reflecting pool tops off the image nicely as do the smaller yellow flowers at the base of the tulips. Much appreciated color as I look out my window at the falling snow!

I think the C-Score says it all. This is a real eye catcher. The colors and the extreme sharpness are super. Well done.

Mimi this is Brilliant! Really eyecatching photography! A bit hot in the highlights but the colors are fabulous and the composition perfect. I really like the pattern and how the foreground blossoms are fewer and the population seems to increase as the eye moves back. Blessings, anne

Tell me if you like it or don't but be sure to tell me why! I promise to always give honest and sincere (albeit gentle when necessary) critiques. MY NEW YEARS TIP for all, go have some fun with your new gear you got for Christmas. Do some things you rarely or never do. If you always shoot scenics, go shoot macros (or as close up as you can get.) Practice on different subjects, try new lighting techniques, bracket your shots (shoot the same image at different exposures and different apertures), get down low and shoot from your back, your belly, and your knees. Bend, twist, lean and climb up on things. Shoot toward the sky (carefully - blown out sunlight is NOT attractive :-) Just do something different and amaze yourself then share with us :-) Love you Caedians.

Ah yes those signs of spring. I like the way the light's shining through them - you can feel the warmth. Everyone must love this time of year surely. I might like a stronger focal point on this Mimi but then again that would negate the 'carpet of flowers' effect. It's very lush!
