I would love to spend some time at that beautiful ski lodge, but I would probably kill myself trying to ski. Excellent shot, Doug. I love the color tones in that wood.
not what i would consider an actual winter getaway..looks like it followed you doug..just a small issue we can over look since you left a great shot to view. i wonder if the railing on the roof(in more then one location) is for the guy that has to keep it shoveled off, from falling off? "the things that make ya go huummm" great looking log retreat with all that snow. ill be the guy sipping on hot chocolate and stoking the fire if you dont mind. ill even wax skies to keep from having to go out in that white stuff..its not that i dont like snow..i just hate it!
Beautiful shot of the building on that "rolling" landscape all covered in snow Doug. I have never tries skiing but my daughter and her husband go every year to Austria for a skiing holiday.
This is one outstanding looking photography love the colours in this photo and especially in the cabin and the trees that are scatted about helps to lift the photo superbly along with the snowy hills and the light shade they have, plus perfect presentation too.
Looks like a lovely winter retreat, however, I'll pass on the snow sports - I brought my camera and can go out and shoot some snowscapes, etc. Nice shot, Doug! Pass the hot chocolate:-)
