Many towns and villages situated on mountains often have these exterior covered escalators that transport people too and from city center. This one is located in Belluno, Italy and it leads from a large car parking lot at the bottom of the mountain. Editing accomplished with the latest addition from Topaz Labs called Topaz Glow. I've been having fun with the program and suggest you experiment with their free 30-day trial period. As always, thanks for looking and leaving a comment.

This is an unusual view with good depth Doug. Your editing and the angle from which you took this have made it a very interesting image.

I like the Topaz range of software...use it often, but haven't tried the glow one!.....

Does a great job, looking at this...I like the angle captured too...leads the eye way into the distance

Surprising and good image. Very good one my friend!

Nice work Doug! I wish they had those things around here but they want us to walk everywhere...bummer. That effect resembles a Photoshop filter called plastic wrap. It can make some interesting manipulations according to the results you are looking for.

It sure brought some neat effects in this image, sounds like a cool idea for that type of escalator but where I am it's pretty flat. Lol! tigs =^..^=

I have Topaz Adjust5 and Topaz Simplify, but I have never tried Glow. I will have to check it out. I love the lines in this shot, and the depth. Very well done, Doug.

I feel like I am moving, Gibbs. Looks like Mahomet must go to the Mountain, Gibbs. This is getting close to bringing the mountain to the people.
I gets a sense of movement in this. I do like the treatment.

I've seen a similar filter applied to animals but I think the hard lines of mechanical, man-made elements are better suited to it. When I first saw the thumbnail I thought you'd been over-challenged with the focus but this one really has to be viewed full size to be properly appreciated. The stronger detail of the leaves seen through the glass tube on the far right creates almost a stained-glass effect. There have been many images submitted to Caedes over the years that bring images of fine art to my mind (a college major in fine art will eventually addle a brain in that manner :P), and this one immediately brought up Edvard Munch's "The Scream." Although some may discount filter use this strong, I really like the effect. Bravo.
