Before I read the post I was thinking how cool that curved frame around the rising sun is. Then when I opened it full I saw the silhouetted water craft, so dark they almost hide in that dark line on the horizon. Mornings are always a good time to shoot, even in the tropics, when the air has cooled overnight and the moisture has condensed, clearing haze from the air so photos will be as sharp as this one. Many photographers and most of the "great unwashed" consider the "Golden Hour" to be late in the day. I think it's the morning for the reason I gave above and because the color spectrum isn't so warm, the separation and size of the prismatic wavelengths are quite different. I find it a real challenge processing late-day photos in Photoshop, whereas morning photos conform must easier. Gorgeous capture, Doug, as always.

A very beautiful sunrise it is Doug. That framing by the clouds with the silver lining at the lower side is wonderful. Excellent capture!

Almost looks like an alligator eating the sun. The boats in silhouette is a nice touch also. A beautiful image compositions. Great shot.
