There was a hint of mist on this pond during the early dawn hours. My entry for the current contest. To me, the image exudes a sense of emptiness and solitude. As always, thank you for looking and leaving a comment.
Beautiful capture Doug - I love the mist on the water and the reflective qualities - a spectacular mood shot - Great Capture and good luck in the contest!!!!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Not only is this perfect for the contest it's perfect for just about anything. It makes me want to be there at that same time, kayaking through the mist with my wife, listening to the soft mutter of insects and wildlife. The scenery is what makes it beautiful solitude, but it's the absence of people that makes it empty and peaceful. Our visit to Lake Kintla, far up the west border of Glacier National Park was like that. Tough to get to, the tourist horde was no where near, only die-hards like us. This is lovely and gets my vote.

Wowsie Doug this is Breath Taking, brilliant entry to the contest. The water so calm and acts like a mirror. Good Luck, it's a winner in my books - right into my favs
