Whenever I'm trying to get a photo of a place full of visitors, Roland, I just set up the tripod and start shooting, never moving the camera and watching to see when one area after the next is clear of people, shooting when they are. Then later, in Photoshop, I combine clear portions of each photo until I have one empty of those pesky bipedal humans. While we were visiting the SD statehouse and I was trying to get this photo during the Christmas season, there were loads of people walking through... but not when I was finished with the shot. ;D As long as the lighting and atmospheric conditions stay the same, you're good to go.
