de Rotte is the link to a system of lakes and canals that runs threw Rotterdam. The windmills keep the lowland in Rotterdam dry. de Viergang is one of four in this part of the systeem.
Wow! A great capture and composition in your photo. Love the perspective and colour tone of this one. Great looking sky with the sun obscured by the clouds. Fantastic work and thanks for sharing.
Hello Rob,
due to circumstances I have missed this post. Saw it today for the first time as 'featured image' on the Caedes mainpage.
"Saved & Faved" instantly, as it's really an excellent post. Superb photography! Thanks for sharing.

"There is always something waiting at the end of the road ... if you're not willing to see what it is ... you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place."
I think the idea behind Caedes is if you upload a image its because you like it and that’s how all images should be looked at why did some one upload, if you take the time to look you will find it……. I don’t aspire to make the most technically perfect images I just like making images if there good or bad is not really relevant as long as I like what I am doing if I can crack a smile or make something that others like it’s a win win. Thanks for the trust.
A Canucklehead.
The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
What a beautiful photo!! I love the sepia colour. And windmills are always something to enjoy. I had not seen this before so I am enjoying your gallery. Thanx so much. Verena
