Grace Kelly was an iconic figure as a movie star and royalty. The Kelly family lived in Philadelphia - we adopted her as one our own - she was our Princess. You really worked those colors so well Rob - the flesh tones are wonderful and I like the shade of green you chose for her suit - Excellent Work!!!!!!!!!

The colors fit perfectly with this scene and are very complimentary. Terrific work, nice to see this photo.

She was a beautiful woman and lived the life of a princess. Died tragically in a car accident.

Grace Patricia Kelly married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in April 1956 so becoming Princess of Monaco. Rob, as you've already said in your narrative, the initial B&W capture was taken just before she was crossing the 'big pond' on an ocean liner.

Your perfect coloring has given this historical image an extra dimension. To my humble opinion it has even enhanced the grace of Grace, ☺ . Great and masterful job again, my friend!

Amazing! You, not Grace Kelly. Well okay, Grace was good too. Especially in Rear Window. But YOU are amazing!

You've really got the colors of the era down. It reminds me of my mother's old photographs, when they hand painted b&w portraits with watercolors. (And according to her high school yearbook, everybody was also a "swell guy or gal").

So accept this as intended, Rob ... I think you're swell!

Now this one I do remember, mainly because of the photographer behind her. Even as a kid, in a family where the only person rich enough to own a camera was Uncle Sands (who worked for the railroad), I wondered what possible use was a photograph of the back of a famous person like her. I'm pretty sure I first saw it in Life magazine. They always had the best photos. (but so tragic what happened to her...)
