Rob, when comparing this one with this one, it's like that you were recently on a photo shoot, ☺ .
One must realize however that the original B&W captures are already taken about more than 75 years ago.
The credits for their nowadays appearance go to you, my friend!
Perfect job again!

Published in May of 1940, eh? By the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information no less. While we were still staying out of the war at that time, parts of our manufacturing base was beginning to look at changing to a war footing, our entry becoming more and more inevitable. That also changed our economy, from post-depression struggles to an influx of government dollars, and people like this woman and her family would have benefitted from that. I think most people did. Eight months before Pearl Harbor, though, they were likely still touching it out, although the smile on her face is probably saying "Well hell's bell's, we're doin' just fine without your assistance."

Outstanding and I'm glad you did this one showing her face more. She seems very pleased as she puffs away. :)

I like the one of her lighting her pipe as well, Rob. Her shirt could have been blue as well. A popular color for shirts in those days. Excellent work.
