This is a close up rework/portrait of my Caedes post of Miss Shattuck some times spend alot of time on the faces of my subject so I dare zoom in.

The photographer must have had his gauze windowshade down for perfect diffusion. Her quiet beauty is fully enhanced by the soft light, keeping harsh contrasts at bay. Your treatment makes her look even better.

If this lady stepped into the sunlight, she'd fry to a cinder like a vampire. Her marble complexion and empty stare are very statuelike too. There seems to be a trend among this era's photographers toward masking a woman's inner personality and projecting a uniform, doe-like complacency. All the spirit, fire and strength of women is missing, replaced with a tired, uniform blankness. The thousand-yard stare of combat vets shouldn't also come from young women.
