I see the movement in this one of her hands doing the tedious work. Rob once again this is superbly done! Grab a cookie, on the your way to the head of the class, and you might just stay up there and take your bow.

It looks like she might have been working at home Rob. I too can see the movement. This is a great example of your stellar work in this series. Kudos to you.

Rob - Another Hines image, this depicting the home sweatshop, colorized magically.

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.

Another fine colorization of Ms. Anzalone performing the tedious job of making lace - she most likely didn't enjoy this work because she was only doing it until Christmas - perhaps to make some additional money for the holiday - Excellent Work Rob!!!!!!!!!

While her name isn't Della (and her husband likely isn't Jim... with a name as Italian as Anzalone), she may still have been trying to make sure she didn't have to cut and sell her hair to buy Jim a watch chain, instead paying for it with her piecework money (*hint: Jim sells his watch to buy her combs). In time for Christmas, eh, Rob? Another delightful image to add to your gallery of historical goodies.
