I think they used to have them tilt their head for portraits Rob. I looks like she is trying to get some water out of her ear.
That has nothing to do with your colorization. She's in the pink now and better for it.

Miss Allen before and after the Botox injections. There, I fixed it for you. The poor girl never had another expression, ever. And the bobblehead look didn't help the overall presentation either. Your makeover is the perkiest she's been in over a century. Amazing what a few coats of paint does for the old scow.

Many women tilt their head when being photographed, even today. My wife does this. As for the images, before and after, they almost look like different women; your colorization of her face, the shadows around her eyes, and the eyes in particular, give her a very different look. In black and white she's thin but a little feisty. In color she's wispy and... well... wispy!
