Beautiful young girl contemplating how her life is changing with the resettlement she has been put through. There are books on the window seal, maybe school books, maybe not, waiting for her as she waits for a fire to start in the fireplace. Very nicely composed picture highlighted by your talents at coloring the black and white.

Nice choice of photo to work on here. She looks to be really contemplating on what comes next in her life. Nice work.

Hmmmm... makes me want to hold her for a while, then take her out for a good meal, some new clothes, a better bed, better housing, better heat, hell... a better life. Lange did a great job at tugging at one's heart strings, particularly with this one. My family was quite poor when I was this age so I can almost (almost, mind you) appreciate what she had to deal with then. Today she would be my mother's age; I hope her life got better.

Rob, the original B&W photo is remarkable in itself, but because of your perfectly done colorization, it has certainly touched a sensitive string to me. I endorse 'Nik''s comment. Reminds me again that many people in that time have lived in harsh conditions. It is in fact a shame that it's not different in certain parts of the world now.
Good and touching one, my friend.
