Another 95 in the old c-index. Wow... any amount of water falling, Chris, constitutes a waterfall in my mind, and not cascading from rock to rock, and this is a water and light fall. Your timing to catch the light streaming though the opening up there is superb, as is the image itself, touching lightly on the moss, the pooled water and submerged branches, and lightly (pun intended) explaining the varied geology in the scene. Looking closer I also see a couple starbursts where the sunlight is glinting off the water at the top of the fall. Saved, faved, and nominated for class president. Did I already say wow? Well, just in case I didn't say wow, here's wow for this submission. Wow.

Sweet ...class president! you hear that bobby? lol my timing was good but i think a few minutes before hand and might have caught several rays here, the only day it didnt rain there but man that night sure was a chilly one!
my timing wasnt as good as this one here of yours, Nik... and WOOZer!
Actually Chris this is a wow picture. We just don't have any rivals for glorious images like this here. We have a few waterfalls and they deserve their glory but you always make something good even better.
I believe i was at f14, even on a lake if the waves or ripples reflect the sun...close up the apertures and you get the same effect that if you were to shoot at night and the lights get spiked, that tells you larger number in fstops. its very effective on glimmering things in the daylight as well. really didnt like the dullness on the log from the sun...but what ya going to do...it is what it is. long exposures reveal a lot. and subdue some things as well, like the little bit of water coming over...i tryed to enhance it some...too little to work with, just motion blur from too long of an exposure time. so you have to take into consideration all the factors and what you want...and what really does matter to you. that should be already planned in your head before setting a proper aperture and hitting the shutter button, i hope this little bit of infor i left, helps!
Chris may not be ......not much to call a waterfall......but for sure a grade A capture really like the dark rich colors and soft incoming light a great capture.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

The category you placed it in is perfect, it does not have to be a powerful water fall. I really like this one, the way you handled the lighting is extraordinary. tigs=^..^=
