This one is just straight from the card. not much to do in editing that would make it or break it. However, There is a number of things that can be done within the camera's settings that can give a totally different look to each shot taken. I have several more exposures of this particular morning that took maybe a total of ten minutes to happen, as the sun was rising quickly in the air burning off the morning fog. I might upload a few more...idk

It truly pays off to know your camera well and be able to toggle through your settings rapidly to get a number of different looks without relying on software. I just grow tired of software sometimes, so I try to get as close as I can within the camera to spare me the headaches. I really like the ambiance of this one.

If your wondering why more of a red color and not so much orange like in color? just a quick tweak of the picture style... that's it! many are given within most camera's, then it was in a White Balance setting, like most would think. no real tricky techno thing that was done. its rather quite simple and very easy to do. I try to leave a little explanation to info in my narrative's "hence the term" I learned the hard way, I sure dont wish that on anyone.

"Different is always good!"

Enjoy

Love the very special mood in this sunrise capture, Chris! Natural as natural can be!

Thanks for another advice. One is never too old to learn, my friend!

Learning and using white balance, exposure, ISO, bracketing, etc., etc., is a matter of self-discipline and confidence. Some people lack both; you obviously do not, Chris, and it shows in your submissions.

Chris, your so lucky to have this spot for such photo opts so close to home. I think this is picture perfect. To get it right the first time with the camera is much better than having to run it though software in my opinion. tigs=^..^=

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
