Ya'll Miss me??? :) awwwww! well I'm sure a few haven't...whatever. I thought its best I get back to dropping something by here. sometimes life just gets in the way. we all been there. Now Urban shooting is a fav of mine and presents some rather difficult problems, day or night! when you hate having cars and people in your picture's and it's in the middle of rush hour! raining. then your brain says STOP!...oooh gotta get that shot! now where to park? so you do it illegally with the Sheriffs Dept and county jail just doors down. there you are with a camera and tri like a fool! its then you should realize you have the bug bad!! nope, no cure by the way. Nothing done here in the form of Manip which I do enjoy! nothing in the form of a HDR..so to speak. which you all know I love. just a dodge, burn, saturate combo in PS, no need to sharpen everything! so I left as is. little play with the contrast and that tree which is framing the shot?...yes I turned it B/W if your wondering. that angle of the shot presented another problem but I was after something that was a must, so your surprise is in the reflection of one of the windows if you look close...nope! not me, that was the camera's doing. Happy Easter if i dont get back here...and as always...Enjoy! Stylo

By the lack of cars and persons in this image, one might thought that Bloomingfield is a ghost-town, Chris, 😄 . To confirm this or not, I've searched for it on the net, but could only find Bloomfield MI instead of Bloomingfield.
Think however that it's a perfectly timed shot, with an amazing and perfect result however for an urban shooting session.

Wish you Happy Easter as well!

Very clever idea my friend, with the B&W tree for framing, I like it. I can see you have not lost your touch, this turned out great. I do see the object in the window, super cool, and perfect idea. Have a nice Easter, and tell the other half hi for me! Looking forward to my drive north.

I just pointed out to my hubby how well this was composed and framed - really neat looking old building.

Very cool building Stylo - looks to be an old factory - I do love old buildings - this has what's missing in today's structures - I like the design of the arched windows and textured brickwork on the facade - wonderful color as well - Very Nicely Done and a Great Narrative!!!!!!!!

Great old building and just the right touch of hdr and handling of saturation levels etc...I do see the 'surprise'.

Bloomingfield, huh, Chris? Interestingly, last month I was back in Decorah, Iowa, driving on S. Mechanic Street there. I really enjoy seeing these red stone buildings like this, having seen a bunch of them in Pipestone, Minnesota, and Hot Springs, South Dakota. Are there others like this in Bloomingfield? The rain really enhances the stone by creating so many light and dark areas of color, plus the shine on the flat surfaces helps make the scene attractive as well.
