Chinese Lantern items are very bright and reflect well in the lake. The swans are probably 7-8 feet tall. I have to go early as an hour after opening there is a large crowd viewing each item.

I Googled the festival and learned that most of the lanterns at the festival are hand-made in China*s lantern capital~~the city of Zigong, in Sichuan Province. So, if I understand the process, much of what we are seeing is rice paper, bamboo, wood, wheat straw, and metal.
That is a helluva lot of work, creativity, and determination (I would have included stamina but I cannot spell it. . . cuz I don*t have any).
