Ted, on the seafront in the town by the sea near where I live are stalls selling all kinds of food and drinks. The people who buy something there often eat it on the street. They are being robbed of their food by increasingly cheeky hungry seagulls. It looks like the seagull in your capture is making such an attempt. However, I hope it left you (and your camera, 😁) weren't the victim. A perfect action shot though.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

Very good face on flight capture. Just a thought for you Ted, maybe cloning out the bird on the right and the bird or spot over on the left would have been good, it would be easy, and put all of the focus on the main subject. Just a thought. tigs=^..^=
While hanging out with my granddaughters on Mississippi*s Pass Christian beach, back in March, I tried getting a shot like this of terns and gulls in flight. You will not see me submitting any of them because they don*t look at all as good as this.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
