This bee landed on my windshield and would not get off. After several miles, I stopped to take its photo and then send it on its way.

Such a cool capture, Ted. They can grip like nobody*s business, even on glass. Cambridge University scientists have shown that it is down to small cone-shaped cells on flower petals that act like *velcro* on the bees* feet. For bees to maintain their balance and hold on is no easy task, especially in windy or wet conditions. I*m assuming a similar principle applies when they are going for a ride on your windshield.
