My mom's neighbor who is in his 80's still decorates for Christmas.

His wife helps him to first put up their Christmas village which takes up 2 walls and as you can see it's layered. She did not have the train going when I was there, but I hope to get back over for some photo opts in the evening.

After this is done he then starts on the outside, and has all lights up for Thanksgiving.

After being on the roof of their house to get those lights up, he just now had hip surgery. He was suffering from a bad hip, and bad knees, so the knees will be next.

He might be in his 80's but is young at heart! His grandson did help him some, but not much. I have tried to take some pics of the outdoor decorations, but not so sure if their worth sharing. I might have one?

I was messing around with one of my programs, and ended up with this result.

Thank you for commenting.

Sandi, if I could achieve the age of 80 years and would be able to do these things, I would be proud of myself. I envy those people who, despite their declining physical condition, have not abandoned their enthusiasm.

If you will visit them for some other photographs, please say 'Hello' to them from me.

Thanks for your very nice photograph.

Regards, Cornelius.

Magical, Tigz. I too hope to be able to do this at 80 and beyond. Maybe golfing will keep me in shape.

It looks like a beautiful and colourful painting Sandi. Hats off to your neighbour for still being so active at that age.

Wow - what this guy does is tremendous - I know my Mom at 87 has slowed but she's still doing all sorts of stuff too. Very nice editing work on this.

A friend does this as well, curving three tiers along the round shape of the deep bay window in their home. A nice tradition and a very cool adaptation you used here, like a colored pencil drawing. Merry Christmas, Sandi, to you and yours. -Nik

I think you can tell him that everyone on site that sees this fully enjoyed his presentation and the effort that went into it.... and you did a fine job in capturing his work.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
