This monarch showed itself at the gardens the other day. I have been seeing more of them, so I assume because of weather conditions (harsh winter, and late spring) their schedule was off. In any case I'm so glad I'm finally seeing them. ♣ I have not been seeing the Viceroy, or the Eastern Swallowtail, hopefully next year will be a better one for them.

Thank you for commenting, and I hope your day is a good one.

There has been a few more butterflies this year, after a dismal last year for them!..you captured a good one here...very prominent in composition!

Outstanding, Sandi. A real beauty! I have only seen one butterfly this year and that was in Columbus and I didn't have a camera with me.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Calendar" but if it has to do with "calendar-quality" photography, then yeah, you certainly hit that on the head with this beauty.

Outstanding butterfly shot Sandi. I did not know that we posted closely matched pairs of images. It is a slightly different type of butterfly but the flower looks like he could be resting on the same flower as mine. I'm thrilled about it.
