A Nuthatch enjoying a goody. These bird captures of late are all taken through a clean windows, I would like to have the window open, for more clearer pics.but it's too cold out there for that. :)

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Pretty darn good capture for having been shot through glass, Sandi. It appears you are our American bird specialist, as opposed to Richie, the UK's bird specialist. Perfect position of the DOF, right on his head, but it took me a while to figure out what that sharp-edged shape in the lower left corner is. I'm not really sure you need it (sorry for being such a purist :).

I think it's unanimous that none of us can detect any unfavorable effect from you photographing through glass, Sandi. You are just THAT good!
And I agree with Nik, I don't think that you need the page curl effect. Your photography is elegant and beautiful. And I love your natural sense of visual composition and presentation. You don't need any of that gimmicky stuff.
But of course if you like it, then ignore all that and follow your heart! :)

Your bird is a different color to our Nuthatches, they are a feisty bird and not shy of fighting other species.
