It's an Anthurium, Sandi, a very unique plant. It grows high in the tall forests of Central America, to catch the sun, and its roots can hang as far down as 100 feet to reach the ground for its nutrients. Also, it is a flower but the large petal you see here is not a petal but simply a leaf. That large stamen has a lot of tiny bumps on it, and those bumps are the actual blossoms, some of the tiniest in botany, which means this single plant can have upwards of a hundred or more blossoms on it.

At first I thought it was black, but now I see blue, I like the tone, my laptop monitor is not true, so I usually get things to dark. This is just right in my opinion. Great job.
