Well not really that is my buddy Stylo giving me a lesson in night exposure shooting.

Nikon D750 with the Nikkor 24-120 lens set on a tripod. f/stop f/6.3, exposure time 10 sec. ISO 100, Exposure Bias -5, focal length 55mm. Metering-Spot.

I sure had fun doing the night shoots, very cool! Sorry about the darn truck, it did not belong to us, so we had to deal with it.

This is straight from the camera, I only resized it, and put my copyright on it.

I appreciate your comments, thank you in advance.

Side bar: I've changed the gallery that the image was placed in, to that of "Bridges", Sandi.

No biggie, really.. as "Water" could work as well.. however, since I find the water taking a slight backseat to that of the bridge and your "Stranger In The Night", as the focal point of interest.. I moved it.

That said..

Looking forward to what else you two got up to behind the lenses.

This is a nice shot.

That's what Chris's wife says, right?

Seriously, though, whenever I find I'm trying to shoot a scene where people are passing through it--sometimes here, sometimes there--I shoot several with the same settings, watching to see where people are. Later I can clone small parts of the scene onto a master and make the finished photo look as though no one was ever there... except for Chris, though. You'd have to keep him in there for the suspense factor... or humor... not sure... what does Chris's wife say about that? [oD

Oh, and by the way, this is really cool. Chris is obviously a good teacher.

Your narrative have brought me at ease, Sandi, because I initially thought (influenced by your title) that you had portrayed the ghost of the famous singer who has performed this song.
Sorry for Chris for the pretty similar appearance. Anyhow striking to me, ☺ ☺ ☺ !

I've read in one your comments of Chris's images, that you're a beginner in the matter of night exposure shooting. Think by judging this result, that it's an underestimation from your side, my friend!

It's a great one for beginning night shooting. Keep it up, I love night shots, although I've never tried it.

hey I know this dude! I think one shady looking character. i believe its this guy! here better watch out where your shooting at night Tigs he was once referred to as a creep, I personally don't know the guy so I wouldn't know. hehe!

Now on a more serious note:
as everyone knows I love night shooting and long exposures for many reason but some just a personal preference. its was nice to pass that fun on to someone. im glad you had a blast Tigs :) we did get some nice shots indeed. you yourself got many without me that are going to make great postings.

I set the tripod up in an area just off the bank of the river..at night! if you fell in it was probably not going to end well, yet Tigs is a trooper, might I add, she jump behind it for the shot! it truly was the bast advantage for this particular one...and man you got some serious color! my friend. light flare reflection on the water and all. thats a killer shot! very well done!

she gave me too much credit Raj. yes, that's all hers! came from her camera, her finger on the button. I was no where near the camera, as you can plainly see. I just explained the fundamentals, is all. just as she did for me when shooting through a wire fence.

scout a shot, plan it, come back when the conditions are right.

That truck in the way? had to be the only vehicle in the whole town that was left over from that day. obviously broke down. in a way adds to the title, looks like the stranger pulled over and was looking down on her. that item belongs in the shot!

I definitely agree with Chris about the truck...it does add to the scene...my over-active imagination is putting together a story here...that 'mysterious stranger' on the bridge threw a body into the water and that is his getaway vehicle, lol.
