I saw the starlings a few days ago, and they were very active.

Just a bit of information about the contest for those who don't know the latest.

You can view the contest entries but after choosing the ones you like please go to the discussion board and click on contests and message Mimi of your choices. She will then post the winners on that page.

I hope this clears up any misunderstanding about the contest voting. There is a glitch in the old way, and Mimi came up with this so that we could still enjoy that option on the site.

Sandi, Although I haven't contributed for the 'Still Life' contest, I've sent Mimi a PM with my votes for it.

Ever since reading Diane Marie Barras*s *Arnie the Darling Starling*, nearly forty years ago, I have had a distinct appreciation for this species, and fell in love with the back feather spot pattern. Fun to see it finally highlighted here at Caedes (nobody*s fault but my own).
