The first of May and I was treated to my first sightings of the hummingbirds, and the beautifull Oriole, that made my day!

This was taken through window glass that I had cleaned just for this purpose. :) Took this one with the Nikkor 70-200 lens.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I also want to tell you that i contacted our flower girl Kathy (trixxie17) since It has been awhile since she posted because of an eye issue, which she said is okay now but she had dental work that went bad for her afterwards, so she is trying to heal from that.

I hope to she recovers soon!

Again I want to say thank you for your comments.

Great capture of this hungry bird. Looks like grape jelly might be its meal. I didn't get them to come back this year or it's to early here for them. I keep hoping.

Sandi, because of the pretty similar colors of your feeder and the Baltimore oriole thought that the latter had chameleon capabilities in order to be undetected.
Just kidding of course. A precious shot however!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Is it any wonder the far-distant ancestors of birds were dinosaurs? Even at this size they can be intimidating. A great shot of a fun scene, Sandi, and thanks for the heads-up about Kathy. I'll have to send her my best wishes.
