No one has entered our new contest yet and I can understand that since the old contest still is not decided - I wish we'd get some clarity on what's going on. But I'm posting this and entering it in the new contest in case it actually works this time and I encourage others to so too. These are Caladium leaves.

Kathy, because of all that hassle, I've lost the courage to participate in a Caedes contest. I'm afraid the waning interest in this now is symptomatic of Caedes.
In that respect you are a persistent person. I hope that many Caedes friends will follow your example and that there will be enough voters.
As for the latter, your fine entry justifies doing so.

During a recent 4-day trip, in which photography was a major driver, I did take a number of photos for possible use as a contest entry, but am hesitant for the same reason that you and Cornelius stated. That does not keep me from wishing you good luck with your entry, and mentioning how well it fits the theme. It certainly does resemble many of the fractal abstracts I have seen and come to appreciate here at Caedes. While the leaf placements may vary just a bit, Kathy, the repetition we usually see in Caedes abstracts are clearly shown here in the veining of the leaves, the leaf shapes, and the colors.
