Found this recently on a tree at the garden center. It shows iconic Chicago things - one of our bridges, an EL car, 3 famous streets and the top is the sculpture known as "The Bean". Couldn't resist a shot as I worked in downtown Chicago for 31 years before retiring.

Kathy, because of its specific Chicago character, this Christmas tree decoration could become a collector's item. I don't think I can find such an ornament here, 😁! Good catch!

Kathy, it seemed like I was in Chicago, at some point, nearly every December. Been often on all those streets, dining, drinking, and even shopping for that special Christmas someone. Thanks for the memory.

Our 7-1/2 foot tree is literally loaded with ornaments, many handmade by me, some by my adopted mom, others bought on trips to remember those places, and so on. Only a small percentage~~10% perhaps~~are generic. These personal ornaments~~and yours here is a doozy~~are the best of them all. Thanks loads for sharing it, Kathy. In reflection of the holidays I am keeping in mind your too recent loss, and I am wishing the best for you, despite that loss. A peaceful Christmas to you, filled with the loving warmth of family and friends.
