Hellebores are not blooming here yet as we are having a snowstorm tonight with about 5" of snow. But my friend in Portland has sent pictures of his blooming hellebores so maybe by next month sometime they will bloom here. this shot was taken last March. My foofy for this last Friday of February.

These flowers have baffled me for over 15 years... Why do they bloom in winter? Why do they bloom in nearly the darkest time of the year? Who-in the world-pollinates them?!?! Good capture: good arrangement, good color.

A Lenten Rose is green? With a blush or red at the edges? Well, dagnabit, now I'm just gonna have to go Google them. I really like those tubular anthers~~very unique~~and tack-sharp in your presentation. You get an A+.

Due to the climatic differences, I can't compare the situation in your area with mine, but I prefer the now blooming crocuses in my area to the 5" snow in your area, 😁 !
