This is a beautiful gaillardia considered a dwarf variety as it gets only 12" high, with a mounding habit. It always catches my eye - this flower is also known as blanket flower. My foofy for this Friday.
Kathy, this Gaillardia isn't only an eye-catcher for you. When one see it, it's impossible to neglect its beauty, 😁 ! Thanks for another wonderful Foofy Friday (F²) contribution from you!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

A most fabulous colour and looks like melty deliciousness. Makes me feel warm just looking and that is a feat because it very cold down here at the bottom of the world.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Not being able to see the thumbnail of your image, Kathy, is fully mitigated upon the expansion to full size: those individual stamen (?) on the flower's face appear almost like miniature barrel cactus. Pretty cool, there.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
