I visited New Harmony, Indiana this fall to learn about the area. New Harmony was so peaceful and serene...I could walk down the middle of the street without worrying about any cars...LOL It's beginings were as a Utopian village in 1814, they built 150 buildings the first year. The oldest building is called the double log cabin. It rained most of the time just clearing up that afternoon the day before we had to leave, but so what... it wasn't a trip of a lifetime but an enjoyable learning experience...thanks to looking at my photo!

The New Harmony utopian experiment, founded by Robert Owen in the 1820s, and this church, designed by Philip Johnson in 1960, give the small town a unique history. You composed the photo nicely, with the surrounding trees, wall, walkway and lawn, and, of course, the blue sky. Well done!

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.

The church is unique in its shape and construction. New Harmony must be quite an interesting place to visit.

Wow, having been a carpenter for many years, I'd love to see the supporting structure inside that thing. Diggin' it.
