We have a surprise artist to spotlight before we get underway again in October. He has always brought the outdoors to the warmth (or coolness) of our homes so that we could see the beauty around us that we otherwise might have missed. He even shot his self-portrait in the bitter cold so that we could meet him in the great outdoors!

Gerry, you have managed, through your skilled photography, to bring all the beauty Mother Nature has for us in an up close and personal way. Your images show dedication and skill and the love of the outdoors My most favorite out of all of them is ~cedar waxwing~. I love the detail as well as the moment that you captured the bird's beak taking the berry. Very well done, artistic and delightful!. I'm both awed and a tad envious of your talent in capturing so many exquisite close-ups, especially of the birds. Notably (for me) are the redwing blackbirds and the goldfinches, both of which I've found almost impossible to get close enough to... Your success is simply golden.
