wow, that was fast. So what is the price now? I went to DA just now, and there shows an error message, I wonder why we can't access ?

I just checked out all 5 calendars...they ARE fabulous! My husband often purchases calendars in bulk from a company here in Canada to send out to his clients and I have to say these caedes calendars easily rank up there along with the pros, in terms of quality and professionalism...Congrats to all who have images that will be published in them...yes, it will be hard to choose which ones to purchase...I got an error message too...do you have to log in to DA to purchase? And do they take paypal?

Saw that the price is $ 25.- (€ 16.89). Have tried to order a calendar on the DA site. Next message appeared however: "An error occurred when trying to add this product to your cart. Please reload and try again." Did it several times, but wasn't successful. Think I must have some patience and will try it again later this week.

From what I can tell you need to join DA to make your purchase. I have an account and it let me pick the calendar of my choice. I think if you want to buy more than one volume you have to do them one at time. I think so anyway.

I'm so glad we can buy these calendars, and I hope it becomes a regular offer here on Caedes. =^..^=sandi

They're OK, but I still see mostly foofies, landscapes, nature scenes...some nicely edited and recolored...but still not enough of the more (excuse me) "chaotically creative" type stuff, and certainly no computer drawings or some of the 3D illustrations that some of us in here do really well...I know from looking into long past posts/galleries (05 and back)...the "chaotic stuff" USED to be more of a constant then...Don't know what happened...I didn't find out about this site until '06...Anyway, I hope some of it returns...Nice job on what you have, though...

I think you have done an excellent job in creating these calendars and will be going on-line shortly to place my orders!

I think the calenders are great but it seems like the shouldve been more diverse. I guess you put in what you think might sell. Oh well. Congrats to all you who have multiple images placed there. Some really fine work I must say.

It was a big surprise for me to see that one of my photos has been selected for the calendar. Needless to say that I am more than pleased. Many thanks to Caedes and all the others responsible for selecting my photo.

I wish there was at least one volume of the calendars with the fractals and computer made things. I love them so much. I use them on my desktop so often. Maybe next time there will be an all fractal calendar. At least there were a couple of them. I am so grateful for three of my photos being there. It feels pretty nice. I never thought I was all that good of a photographer, but am evidently learning and improving,and that's what it's all about.Thx...V

I'm glad that everyone seems to approve of the calendars. I only regret that (as was mentioned above) we couldn't get more diversity in the types of art that are featured. However, I included every image that was nominated and that I felt was able to represent the best that we have to offer (pretty much the same qualities that we look for in promoting to the permanent galleries). Next year, we should be able to get an earlier start, and this should allow us to get more illustrations, fractals, and other media types.

Saw that Stan was saying above that his work wasn't good enough to be printed on a calendar. I'm so sorry Stan, but I can't agree with you this time!!!!
Your work is of a very high quality and admired bij many, many Caedesian (and other people).
Have read *Caedes' explanation above, and that makes the situation very clear.
Hope therefore that we can see one or more of your perfect rose images next year in one or more calendar(s).

wow, the calendars are so amazing. its really inspiring me to invest in a good camera and to start taking photography more seriously. well done to all the artists that made it into the calenders. and its great that Caedes is giving us 5 of them to choose from!

And congratulations to all the members whose images make up these professional looking calendars! For next time around, I will echo the desire that there be more diversity and perhaps a designated calendar for fractals and computer graphics. Thanks again Caedes! :)

Wow - thank you Caedes and what an honour to be included in such an estemed group of photographers.

I think I'll retire now under one of my favorite quotes from 'Pride and Predudice' [Chp 18]:

``That will do extremely well, child. You have delighted us long enough. Let the other...s have time to exhibit.''

And good job well done Caedes, not an easy task to set yourself with such a short time limit.

Something to think about for future would be another 'selection' button that would indicate whether a newly posted image could not only be considered suitable, ok for voting, but also the year end calender.

It must have been a shame that only those members active during the latter part of November would have been aware of the calendar deadline, as I'm sure others would have been pleased to have their images considered.

It would also afford you with many more pictures to draw upon from different interest groups: sunsets, 3D, Egrets, flowers, fractals etc..

Still - genius to think of 5 volumes instead of 1.

Excellent calendar choices! I see one major, major problem, I can't afford all of them! LOL Really great collection you have chosen. I like others ideas of perhaps different themes for different volumes for next years calendars.

Any news on how sales are going?

I haven't looked, but the calendar sales have been modest in the past. I think this is because the only sales are coming from caedes members. No big deal though, as long as I get mine soon. =)

I bought 3 but did think the price was a bit steep, but they are very well done. Thank you again for these wonderful calendars. I think non members would think it way to expensive. I would have liked to buy all five but just could not make sense of that for the cost. Sorry just my thought. Still I hope this will be offered again. =^..^=sandi

Indeed, in this time of the year, a lot of companies are giving the calendars for free, and this price may seems quite expensive. But, you only live once, so I ordered 5 of them! Good Christmas present.

The calendars are beautiful and congrats to everyone who is published in them. My only suggestion for the future would be to include more variety (not just photographs), as there are some wonderfully talented illustrators, digital artists, 3D artists, etc. at Caedes who should be represented as well.
