Thank you for commenting on "Spidery Suprise", I very much appreciate it. It was actually quite near a stream...in the middle of one in fact. You're pretty good! Thanks again!
I know what you mean about "Dunajec castle". I see it clearly on my computer at work. Surprising, but at home it was really neither norticeable nor bothering... Maybe it is all about the screen resolution? I made the photo a little bit brighter, removed the shadows a bit and this is the result of struggling with the overexposed area of sky. I promise to improve it. Let's better not spoil a "perfect" capture, lol...
Still when I look at original 3264X2448 photo there is some slight grain (all over) I guess we can put up with. It maybe the settings: ISO:100, f:8, 1/60. Thank you for your accurate remark.
For the noise I have to put up with some as I am pushing my optical/ digial zoom and as a result I get some noise. I get the vivid colors by being zoomed so close. Ted
Thanks Greg commenting on my butterflies.I must say, though - I'm not sure I have the patience for butterfly-capturing. They move too fast. Thank goodness for digital now, so I don't have to blow rolls and rolls of film! Patty
Hello, thanks for the comment! I agree too about the contrasts, I was afraid it would seem too dark in parts but you made me feel better with your lovely compliment so thank you. :)
Hi Greg, Thanks for stopping by "Riptide" & for your great comments. You were correct in saying "toys for grown-ups" .... Apophysis is a fun program for all ages & can be rather addicting also. Appreciate you taking a look & glad you enjoyed it. Have a nice day. Sherree
Hey Gregg thanks a lot for the intrestg info :)

Good morning Greg, i appreciate your wonderful comments on The Beautiful. When i saw this sunset comming on i grabbed the camera and my wife Donna, she likes to see these to, and drove up on the highest hill not to far from my home. It was in full bloom when we got there, click off eight shots this was the best one. Thanks also for your suggestion on noise ware, i have photoshop with noise reduction and forgot to use it, lol Have a great weekend, peace and happiness to you and yours.

Glad you liked the dedication flower Greg and have found a way to use it better for your system and eye. I personally liked it because it reminded me of someone 'taking a bow' and that was what I was doing along with saying thank you to everyone for coming by my posts and leaving such kind words. Have a great day. Anita
All the wonders you seek are within yourself. Always glad to see visitors at My Gallery and thanks for your continued kind words and constant support. Anita
Glad you liked my "Purple Passion" Greg. I shot the picture primarily for my wife but my plans took a dive. So I played with it to try to salvage the effort.
Hi Greg, thanks for stopping by my gallery and commenting on After the Thunder 2. I'm glad you liked it. I have to say, the hour I spent sitting on the deck watching first the thunderstorms then the sunset was just about the best hour I've ever spent. - Donna
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
I was wondering also if it was a cricket or katydid. Looking it up on the internet it might be a cricket. The katydid bodies are much broader. Keep me honest. Ted
Well thanks Greg for that lovely comment about the Mad.. Moth. Had you not said that, I would have never known about Mimi's painted moth either. I got a look at that and it is really interesting.
Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

It is all in my F20 for the stop action. I also have to plan for the shot and hope I'm lucky. The shot of the airplane sidways was the only one and the only area where I could take a picture.
Nice to see you in my butterfly gallery. I suppose the eyes of a "peacock butterfly" drew your attention. As far as I know these eyes are supposed to discourage predators. This time - quite the opposite, lol. I hope it was an enjoying feast for your hungry eyes...
Oodles of thanks for checkin' it out, I sure appreciate it!!
My Apop designs generally come out somewhat muted so, yes, I use Photoshop to increase overall saturation. Where to stop? Well, I try many different levels and review all before posting one. I generally run the saturation up till bleeding occurs, then back it off 5 or 10 marks. "Caught in a Mosh" if you look at the little flecks of blue they're wanting to "bleed" a little so I stopped there even though the overall post was somewhat muted in overall tonality. Zat make sense?
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Sorry I took so long to get back with you about your comments on my "Spring in Zions." I've been out of town and just got back last night. I appreciate your feedback.
Hi Greg, Thanks for your comments on "Piece Of My Heart". I think Janis would approve & it does appear to be moving if you look at it too long. Glad you enjoyed it. Much appreciation, Sherree
Hi, Greg - I really appreciate your comments on "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday" and I'm very happy you enjoyed it. But sadly, just as Whimpy always did, he or she left empty handed!
WOW... Thanks Greg for your wonderful words on My Wake Up Call.. glad you liked it... i'm honored that you think it should be in a gallery.. I have a pic of just the bottlebrush which i will post soon, as well as a macro shot of the flower..
Hi Greg ... so I really have you believing I'm trying to put you under my spell. Well I will just have to see what else I can come up with ... LOL. Thanks so much for your comments on "Yikes". Glad you enjoyed it & I hope you didn't stare at it too long. Sherree
Thanks Greg, for the comments on "Golden Monkeys". And yes, the shadows and light are part of my creations, it is a Photoshop lighting effect....Thanks again....Kat
Nice to see you Greg among ones who responded to "mating season". Your feedback was so humorous. I suppose shameless beetles will never advance to the permanent gallery... What a waste for future generations, lol.
Hanging down from the cliff, with a camera in one hand.... lol. This is how "Dunajec river" was taken. You say: how silly of me...I would simply do everything to please you guys here in Caedes, lol. I wonder would you still like to join me Greg? Thank you for your feedback. Warm colors are a result of polarised filter I used.
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Thanks Greg for commenting on my picture “Shadows” The picture was posted as it came out of the camera and not a manipulation. I did look at your photoshoped version and it did bring out the colors better. I have shot close to 1000 pics in the last month so my time in Photoshop is usally spent cropping and tweaking levels.
Hi Gregg ... Thank you for your comments on "Pantala Naga Pampa" & my recent posts. I do get some very unusual stuff, but it makes it more interesting. Glad you enjoyed them. Sherree
I told PJ that the effects were what I was trying to get. I was surprised at the water droplets reflecting light like they did. Photography has to wait for the moment.
Hi Greg, thanks for your kind comments on Gardens at Chateau St. Jean. Perhaps when I am especially feeling the bite of my meager teacher's salary I should pay them a visit and make them a pitch?
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
If you are as sweet as I am, there is no problem attracting butterflies. Ask my family, although they will not say the same. I did not try noise reduction. Too busy working. ted
I am thrilled at the response the tutorial is getting. I really worried about whether it would be well received and if it was even worthy of uploading. It's hard to put oneself out there in the spotlight not knowing if people will appreciate the work. Thanks for your positive feedback. I sincerely hope that people will benefit from the time I put into it. That's the point...Blessings, anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Thanks for commenting on "Ten Kings around The Flower Table" Greg. I suppose the reason it seems a little out of focus is because it is a filter effect applied to a computer painted flower that I did. I did the flower in TwistedBrush a free drawing program. I was interested in this image because of the little guys that seem to appear around the flower. Feel free to rework it all you want to. You may be able to get some great stuff out of it. I appreciate that you looked at it.
thanks for making me a friend. we certainly do like to photograph the exact same things and i mean exact. if you love magnolias you certainly live where they grow. i take hundreds of pics of them in richmond. as for the head of the camel......did you know that the shape on the right is the praying monk. it's kind of near my house. jen
Hi Greg, Thank you for your comments on "Come Together" ... you can name it whatever you want. It sometimes takes me a week or better to come up with a title for fractals. LOL. Also, thanks for your kind words on "Summer's Glow". In Minnesota, I see alot of pink sunsets, but it is rare on a clear day & to see the sun glow like that is unusual. Glad you enjoyed them. Sherree
I just felt it was time to see more colors. I will be going to Tennessee next week and don't have too much hope in seeing many colorful trees, so I put this one on.

Thanks Greg for viewing and commenting on my Hotlanta image. I'm glad that you like it. I had to do some Photoshop manipulations to increase the clarity and contrast. The lens was up against the window shooting in manual mode at iso100 f-11 1/160 of a second focused on infinity. I only do this for fun. I'm past the point of trying to make money from photography.

Howdy from Arizona! Thanks for looking and commenting at "Not so near ..." to follow up "Near ...". I'd hoped the f-stop would take care of the background but just not quite - if I ever get PhotoShop maybe I'll fuzz it up a little? You've got some good stuff in your gallery, Greg. Looks like you've been out here a bit?!
greg, i hate to say this but i can't remember where this was. the whole area of northwestern az and southern utah have one gorgeous formation after another. this might have been an area called white house near the paria river. glad you like it. thanks for writing.
I think it's like Hans suggested with the Akaka Falls image - when you're there, and you see the glory of such a magnificant sight, the expectations for the outcome of a photograph are high so no matter what comes out might seem dissappointing. I'm just glad everyone is enjoying it. Thanks always for your discerning eye and encouraging remarks. anne :-)

Thanks Greg for commenting on my picture “Old School Blues” I wish I would have had my other camera and macro setup for this one. I don't know what kind it is but it sure is bright blue.
Of course it would be very rude and impolite to notice your generous comment to my nature capture and not to leave you at least one humble "thank you", Greg. I knew you would have nothing against insect mating, he, he, he... After all we learn new things all the time, lol. At least you can now verify if this what biology teacher once told you was true ;)
Thanks for the comment on "Burst of Color" I totally agree that it's a bit oversharpened. I didn't actually sharpen it in photoshop; it just came out that way. I'm going to repost with some edits to soften it up a bit.
P.S. You're from Lynchburg, eh? I went to undergrad there. :)
