Thanks for the comments on my squirrel picture “Dirty face”. Once in awhile one of these squirrels will let you get within about 10 feet for a nice close-up.
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/
Thanks Karrid,
Glad you liked "Take Off". It's actually 2 shots. The bird was on such a rotten background, I took a picture of the sky, and just put him on it! :-) "Photoshop"
Hey again...thanks for having a look at "Something Waterfallish 2"...for this shot, and for most water and waterfall shots, I lenghtened the exposure time, which gives the water a blurred effect. This one was at 3.2 seconds.
back to back hello's...thanks for your comments on "Ganoga Falls 2" this time! I almost thought it was a little too 'overdone' too, but I still liked the way it came out. Thanks for the visit, as always!!
Welcome to Caedes. I hope you find the encouragement and support that I did, when I joined up. Best wishes and future growth as a pic taker. Thanks for your comments on Sunwapta Pass.

Hi Karid
Thanx 4 visiting my gallery have u seen Georgy ? :-) Joking aside it's time u got out that new DSLR, and uploaded another shot.
Practice makes perfect.

Hey Karid...thanks for stopping by and commenting on "Stream on the Edge"...always appreciated. I went to take pictures of the river and waterfall just to practice with exposures and lighting, etc., but I liked how some of them came out. I'm going to make a trip when we get a good deal of rain, so there is actually a river instead of just a trickle!!
Hey again...thanks for having a look at "Underneath" and "Mossy Trickle" this time!! Check out this article on Orton's Imagery. It's a really cool technique that adds a certain atmosphere and emotion to shots. I've got more than a few in my gallery....you'll notice they sort of have a 'glow' to them. It's definitely worth a quick read and some dabbling in Photoshop.
Hey again...thanks for your thoughts on "Hawk Falls"...I've got a couple more at different angles, so maybe there will be one with that setting you're looking for. Thanks for the visit, as always!!
Thanks for "Still Stream in Motion" too...almost forgot!!
Thanks for the comments on "Dangerous Waters".
Here in Florida, Those guys are REALLY something we have to pay attention to. Especially if your backyard is on a lake and you have small kids or dogs.
Thanks for stopping by my recent two posts...I really glad you said your eye focused more on the top of the image on "Red Brook", that's what I was trying to do!!
Morning Karri
Thanx 4 your recent supportive views on my uploads. It seems u have a real artist eye 4 work which is very refreshing from someone so young !!
When u progress with your photograghy please don't turn into a techi geek !!

Alright we have a name...hey Karri! Thanks for looking at "Running Water" and "Red Brook 2"...once I saw the red rocks, I must have snapped off 30 shots at different angles!!

Hi Karri, Thanks for stopping in at bleeding hearts". I'm glad you enjoyed the image. A lot of times it's hard to get a really sharp focus on white, but as you said, in this case it made the red really stand out. Thanks for your comments.
Hey Karri, thanks so much for your comments on my bouldering pictures!! i really appreciate them! haha yes he was very determined to get to the top, but never did unfortunately. and sharp rocks generally are a problem you are right! haha thans again! ~abby
i apologize for my delay in replying to all of your wonderful comments...i am busy working a couple of jobs and enjoying the last summer with my friends
Hey Karri..thanks for your thoughts on "Still Stream in Motion 2" and "Hawk Falls 4"...on the waterfall shot, maybe its the 'layered' lighting that you are thinking about. Its dark and contrasted on the far side in the trees, a little less so in the water, and pretty bright on the side with the rocks. Maybe it gives you a feeling of being a bit off. Thanks for your comments as always!!!
Oh whoops...let me add a thank you for "Lower Section" as well!!
Thanks for the comment on 'Pink', I think it loses detail because it's cut from the centre of a larger image, and the focus is not quite where I wanted it, but hey.
Hi Karri,
Thanks for stopping by to view *Double Decker*.
We had a lot of rain, and up came those super size mushrooms :)
I'm glad you liked them and appreciate your comments. Hope to see you again.
Your friend, Carolyn
Hey again Karri...thanks for stopping by to look at "Mossy Falls" and "Tropical Showers 2 - a PJ rework"...we both appreciate it for the rework collaboration!!
Thanks for the friend addition and commenting on "Sunset Beer"! Yeah, I was really lucky I had the camera with me and was holding it at the right time.
