This Mantis has been hanging out in the beans in our garden. Here is my first posting of this garden friendly insect. She was in full view in this shot on a sunny day.
I'm happy to say that my mom was doing so much better today, the best that I have seen in sometime. I only hope she continues to improve, and thanks for your support. It means so much to me. So many good friends I have found on Caedes. Thanks bunches!
Y-i-i-i-i-i! Too...The narrative merely implies that the Rhonda character has a mysterious flair to her, and maybe she should be left that way, allowing the onlooker to make up their own mind...the same way one might make up their own "legend" (or ghost story :) regarding something spooky they see...such as an old house, a lonely road, a cemetery (Umm...maybe not THAT one)...etc...Thanks for visiting...

Beside the Cauldron of the Snake...It's still kind of pop/fantasy art...Hey, but now I've included a small story caption, so I guess it's making some sense now...possibly some organization, for a change...Thanks for visiting...

Hi there Sandi
Thanx for the comment on Ivory Carrier. I am glad you liked it. This one was only a few meters (10 m max) from the car, so I could get this shot. It's been sitting in my not-so-good file for quite a while, and when I was looking to post something today, it popped up, almost asked to be posted.. so i did. and i'm glad you enjoyed it and hope that other people will too. Thanx again for stopping by!! Have a lovely weekend

Hi Sandi, I appreciate your comments on "Lake Falls" it's one of my own favs. I did shoot it without a flash on purpose (I like to use natural lighting when I can) like you said for the contrast and the beautiful effect it had on the shot. Thank you for your post.
Thanx so much for the comment on Ivory Carrier 2. I do appreciate it very much,it's also been sitting in my not-so-good bin for quite a while.. i was planning to delete them all, but got desperate to get something to post, so I thought let me give it a chance..
Thanx a mil for the kind comment.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback on 'at the orchard'. No offense taken. I appreciate your comments. I was trying to have one apple in focus and the rest blurred. Do you feel that more should be in focus or that the focal point itself lacks clarity? Thanks again! :)
Hi tigs, glad you enjoyed my photo "A walk along the bridge" I was trying to get Autumn foilage photos that day but it was to foggy and cloudy. But it is fun trying new things.

thanks for your kind comment about Land Of Enchantment Sandi I still got plenty left from my AZ trip this summer. I just returned from Florida where I stayed in a beach front condo overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. I feel a little guilty going away so long and often and leave no comments for anyone I don't have a lap top so when I'm gone I am truly gone so I wouldn't blame anyone if they never left a comment on any of my photo's ever again
Your pal
Diane
I just realized I have pictures of everywhere but none of the area I actually live in.
About Lake Lure I really live in the mountains of Tennessee not North Carolina but look the same. I do like it here with the mild four season climate and mountains.
Hi Sandi,
I thought maybe you were going to say Lake Lure Inn and Spa had a tilt or maybe it's too dark. Thanks for taking a look and giving it your seal of approval. Maybe it's haunted that's why it bugs me
Diane
It's not only a nature trail but at the spur of the moment I entered it in the line contest, it was just a whim and don't expect to win, but I do love my nature trails wherever I find them...thanks Sandi
Hi Sandi I know Sail The Seven Seas does have it's problems but I needed a boat. It is sitting just off Princess Cay in the Bahamas it's their own private island.
may all your seas be smooth ones
Sandi you were so quick I didn't even get a chance to do the write up well here it is. The dock at Wyndham Lake Lure North Carolina where they rent out the paddle and pontoon boats, I spent the week there..but I was too cheap to rent either, I didn't put in the last part. The weather that day was out of this world..thanks for your nice comment!
I really wanted a picture of the Inn, it's very impressive and was dismayed when I saw scaffolding all over the building.
So I had to settle for that piece in the garden...but it was sunny and warm that day...thanks for looking at my art object
My "Totaled" really looks out of place, here are trees, flowers, lakes and then Wham there is a crumpled car, Every one rushed to that accident the police, fire, and EMS arrived with lights and sirens going. I do have a part two to the story
for later. Maybe I should be a poster girl for the importance of seatbelts. I don't know about you but when I was a kid no one wore seatbelts and the kids ran wild in the backseat and no one ever gave it a thought...Thanks for looking at my safety
tip for the day Sandi
Thanks Sandi, for your comments on my rework of Bamburgh Castle,I spent,a whole evening, working on it,and trying to get a good shot of the Moon in my back garden.
Thanks Again Brian.
Hello Sandi.....Many thanks for your lovely comments on (CHURCH IN THE GLEN)they are as you know very much appreciated.....This church sits in a beautiful wooded area with a river flowing past...It is so nice to know that you like this one....Thankyou again......All the best to you Sandi.......................Mick.
I've had Swans and Canadian Geese hiss if you get too close to the babies.. but nothing like this being attacked by aggressive, pushy and very tall white geese with sharp beaks pecking my ankles so hard it hurt...I've swam by barracuda that were more friendly,
Thanks for looking at the rare mallards Sandi!
They do things a little different down in Costa Rica...I guess it was supposed to be a waterfall...I took one look laughed and said "That looks like a elephant peeing in the pool"

Hi Sandi, thanks very much for the visit and feedback on Private Moment...much appreciated...have decided that while a good idea it was not a good quality so will be deleting it and replacing it with my final version of Distrust for the contest.
Thanks for sharing the sunrise with me from my 9th floor balcony Sandi I'll make the coffee and donuts and we can sit outside...looks like pretty day at deadly Daytona Beach we can look for sharks and watch people carried away in rip tides..LOL. . I do take sunrise/sunset shots but rarely put one up
Ominous Sign" I fact checked everything, but did make up the sunrise "The Orange stripe of Doom" name. .except no one seemed very scared.
no more scary stories, just wearing that ridiculous avatar outfit guarantees I won't
Fall is the best time of year in these parts, the haze, heat and humidity of summer are gone...plenty of days with brilliant blue sunny skies and mild temperatures. But the thing I like best is the winters are fairly mild..usually only a couple of inches of snow all season. Thanks for dropping by
