Nikoneer: Shot with a point-and-shoot? Amazingly sharp and noise-free for a non-DSLR camera--a real feather in your cap, Rich. I love how everything is soft and ethereal except the individual in the center, and how that long shaft of sunlight, streaming in between the buildings, makes a shadow of everything else. The strong contrast of blues and gold helps as well. Sure to place and quite possibly win. 8)

tigger3: I like this one for the contest, it is subject matter that is different from most of what we will see in the contest, and fits it perfectly. I have never actually seen a sundial, except in pictures.

jerseygurl: Very nice shot!!! I like how the natural light is illuminating the main subject with shadowing. Would make a nice entry for the contest!!!

LynEve: So realistic - and even an aspidestra in the corner on the sideboard ! We used to have one of those in the 'parlour'.
Would be a fine contest entry.
