1st place elektronist: Great timing! Good luck in the contest.
Ramad: Congrats Vicki on winning the contest. I expected that this would win and had voted for it because it is a true spontaneous take with "broken rules".
rvdb: Congrats Vicki on your first place win.

LynEve: Intriguing ! - makes us want to see more and wonder what they are doing there in front of the crooked trellis. A Barbeque? A working bee? A garden tour?

3rd place bfrank: Nice shot of light trails. I'm glad you didn't get hurt there in the dark or arrested.
Nikoneer: Well, Chris, I'm not so sure this is a "breaking the rules" photo as far as the art and craft of photography is concerned, but only as the law is concerned. Whatever the case, I absolutely love light trail photos ( like this one, this one, and this one), and this one is exceptionally well done and shows a real talent. A copy is going in my monitor's wallpapers folder, thanks loads! If the c-index was still being used I'd give this one very high marks indeed.

4th place bfrank: Great job and it follows my rules. I follow others rules most of the time (because I like others to be happy), but I like to please myself too. This one pleases me Bob.
Nikoneer: When the subject is a landscape, with the elements of the photo in the distance, wide spread, then the rule of thirds probably applies more often than not. Here the main subject is these three people on a bench, a subject you've centered. Since centering pairs well with symmetry, it stands to reason that the foreground, the grass, and the background, they sky, should be centered as well. I think it works well.

rvdb: Congrats on your win.

Nikoneer: Naaaaaww... he broke the rules during class and now he's being forced to hold his beak to the blackboard. When I was in second grade I didn't get this punishment... I was locked in a closet (but the nun forgot the light switch was on the inside :o).
