za4em9: Nice image: it has an old-school feel to it, with the pixelation and the rainbow effect. In a sense, this image exercises the viewer's imagination, also helped by the unusual color palette.

corngrowth: Rob, I've thousands of dia positives (slides) taken during my former career. They're kept/conditioned in special metal boxes. But in spite of that, their colors are faded. I've scanned them with my computer and did an attempt to restore the colors. This attempt wasn't successful however.
I envy you (😁) because you succeeded in the restoring process in such a way that a very attractive image was the result.
Wish I had your skills and time to do this time consuming process again.
Very well done per usual, 👍 !

Why this doubt, Vicki?
For me, this beautiful photo is an excellent entry for the current contest because it perfectly meets the Light and Shadow topic.
This photo brings out beautiful memories from my childhood.
Like your grandson Alex, I was mesmerized by the figures I could form if I placed my hands/fingers between a light source and the wall.
Either way, I wish you the Best of Luck with it.
