tealeaves: Truly an imaginative piece of work, Chris! I especially like all the reflections and the dreamlike quality! However, I'm thinking that the woman is rather large, taking into consideration of where the structures and reflections meet up...just my opinion. But, I have to remind myself that dreams don't often make sense ...lol I also like the structures off into the distance and the floating lanterns. The view through the open door was a nice touch. Extremely creative and well done!
I'm happy to see more of your CG work, and wishing you best in the contest!

2nd place
tealeaves: A chilling capture, and definitely thought provoking! I especially like your perspective that allows one to see the door, rather than just a straight view outwards. I also find it interesting that there is no sign of a lock. Excellent work, and a Big Congrats on taking second place in the contest, John!
Hey, I just noticed your entry above... did you notice that Verena actually provided two comments here? :)

3rd place roxanapaduraru: Goodluck in contest...I think it's a great picture and you deserve a top spot!
Nikoneer: Looking at it as a thumbnail I first thought you had used a painting filter on it, but enlarging it made me realize that no, it really looks like this. I love the extreme aging on the raw and painted wood alike. Also you've got a lot more than just one door here; two small gate-like doors, a doorway arch, and a barred door in the back. I also like the way the support framing on the right gate overlaps into the left gate. Very unusual. I can see why it's your favorite of your door photos. Good luck in the contest, my young friend.

4th place tealeaves: The open view has the look of an old world town, that I like very much! I also like the colour contrasts, and the warm cozy lighting seen through the windows. But, I'm especially enjoying the composition that gives the viewer the feeling that they are under an alcove looking out. Wonderfully done, John, and congratulations on placing in the doors contest!! :)
