1st place
A Pile of Pencils by ivanmaniak

mesmerized: I see a few geometric shapes here...nice shadows and set-up...good luck.

ivanmaniak: As a first-time winner of the contest (or any photographic contest) I would love to thank you for all your support, constructive comments and trust. It is inenarrable pleasure, honour and also motivation for me.

I have to admit that I love most of the other entries and would never thought of actually winning in such a competition.

Thank you and good luck to all of you in your creative work.

2nd place
GEOMETRICKS by DixieNormus

Donna68: Faved, cool image my friend :)

Tootles: Well done in the contest. :-)

weed_hopper: Interesting! It reminds me of the start of making a map for a game. That's how it looks just before you start creating the layers and the textures. Good Job!

3rd place
Inside out by slushie

dreamer100: Black and white at its best. By showing it in B/W you take away the hard contrast between wood and metal and make it all about pattern and light play. Great piece of work

Tootles: There's something about this shot that's of good quality; clear and not oversharpened. It's easy on the eye, as well as drawing your attention to the strength of the structure. The 'best bit' of course is the textured ring, with more rings beyond. Good luck in the contest!

4th place
Bridge Over Untroubled Water by Zyrogerg

madmaven: BEAUTIFUL! Not only a great entry for contest, but a lovely capture and I really like it!

luckyshot: Greg - A real nice capture. It looks like you did a little HDR work to bring out details in the sky, foliage, and the subject of the photo - the bridge. The reflections, with colors slightly muted, are excellent. I think the tones of the reflections match well the 'grunge' of the bridge with its worn paint, signs of rust and graffiti. Terrific work!
