sharonva: I for one will be very disappointed if you do not enter this in the contest. It has a quality not seen all that much...the clean and clear lines (pins?) of each feather are...well...clean and clear. The feathery, fuzzy parts are softly feathery and fuzzy. (Sorry for my lack of imagination on my adjectives)! This is very good and should do well in the contest.

As far as the noise, you're right, I didn't notice it before. I think it got introduced in the HDR processing. I used Zoner Photo Studio to clean up the noise a bit, you can see the result here...

Eubeen: Good focus work in the photo with a lovely blurred background. Nice colours and textures in the bud and stem. A little work could be done on the light levels, on both the high and low ends, if desired. Best of luck in the contest.
