2nd place
Wings of the seagull by elektronist

Dunstickin: Superb capture!....and perfect for the current competition too

ovar2008: WOW!!! This is a terrific capture.

casechaser: At some point in life, I certainly hope to see this one in the Main Gallery.

Nikoneer: I agree... an excellent entry. The bokeh puts all the emphasis on the gull and the face is tack-sharp, allowing the slight blur of the wings to express motion. Best of luck, Tanju.

Just A Johnny Jump Up by chadwik05

LynEve: Lovely colours and I like the few clouds. Excellent entry.

Have not heard of a Johnny Jump Up before :) It looks like a tiny white violet or pansy. -

Eubeen: A good angle in the photo. Nice focus and details in the flower and bottle. Lovely colours and composition. Best of luck in the contest.

LakeMichigan: Congratulations Jim on your placing in the Simplicity contest. Way to go !

LadyR: Could that possibly be a PussyWilow? Lovely shot - the blurred / obscured background really makes the bud pop!

cynlee: Well, it's a really fine entry, Jim. Nothing wrong with this picture. The details are excellent and the dof is perfect in degree and shade. Good luck!
