1st place
The Living and The Dead by Ramad

LakeMichigan: Great shot and contest entry, Raj.
Wonderful DOF and Color.
Good Luck !

LynEve: Excellent contest entry Raj.
This strawflower is not living up to its 'everlasting' reputation :)
I did not know the name Imortelle, have always called them Everlasting Daisies.

2nd place
Life & Death by 100k_xle

Marzena: You sure that the poor rodent did not escape by any - unlikely, most unlikely - chance, please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am, well, very much befriended with nutrias and dislike gators, crocodiles and sharks - simply living horrors.
I would prefer to meet a lion, tiger, leopard or a pack of wolves than those abhorrent, obnoxious glutton killers killing just for the fun of it. In many ways they are very much like humans....
That is why I never swim in Baltic Sea or would never ever swim in any other sea/ocean/very big lake. Pools are good enough for me. People cannot be avoided completely, but the contacts can be at least limited to virtual ones :)

"Oh Boy! Dragon Steaks For Dinner!" by Jimbobedsel

Flmngseabass: What a find this is JB!!! Maybe he's eating one and putting the other in food storage:) Great capture buddy!! Nice to see you up and running at full speed again!!

corngrowth: ---You gotta be fast to catch two dragonflies at once!---

When you (or the kids, lol) are hungry, you have to be inventive!

Great shot, Jimbob!!

Regards, Cornelius.

4th place
Frozen berries by Elini

Logun7: Nice Entry! Best of luck to you in the contest:)

tib: Beautiful capture Helena and the ice crystals make it even more so. Best of luck in the contest.

5th place
last breath by Zeniac

LynEve: Congratulations on your placement in th contest.
Well done :)

Marzena: Somehow I cannot make up me mind what to say here - I like snakes I like mice and I disapprove of killing without reason.
In case of your snake - neither applies. He has to eat - poor devil, and preferably he eats what he can get by himself [assuming he is male gender LOL - how can one tell the gender in snakes? LOL]
BTW
Is the snake likely to grow any longer?! LOL And what is the diameter ...? Before having any substantial meal, that is.
Good although emotionally disputable [but whichever serious entry in this contest is not ?!] entry.
