I'm a relatively newcomer to Caedes ... roughly two months as a member. In that short span I've made a few friends. Madmaven was one of those friends. The very first one in fact. It was Terri who welcomed me to Caedes, went out of her way to make me feel welcome with an enthusiasm that was infectious. She was like a pixie darting all over the site, posting images, commenting on tons of images, offering support to any and all newcomers, a catalyst in inspiring new ideas for the site. She participated in countless threads and had the gumption to start the Tribute To Caedes. Apparently Terri has decided to leave Caedes. Why she left is not what this thread is about. Read the thread about "Thank You’s" if you're curious, but I doubt it will answer the question satisfactorily. I'm not taking any side in the dispute that took place on that thread. To me it was much ado about nothing. I'm starting this thread because regardless of who was right or who was wrong, we here at Caedes are losing a valuable contributing member. I cannot sit idly by without making an effort to convince her to change her mind. I'm sure I'm leaving myself open to criticism as being an old fool ... overly sentimental ... she's gone ... it's not the end of the world or Caedes ... making way too much of one member leaving etc. etc. So be it. Those members feeling that way need read no further. Someone made a request to Caedes (Geri) to ask her to reconsider. I don't think that's fair to him. Lord knows he has more than a full plate running this site and has little time to be settling squabbles between members. All I would ask of those members who truly considered Terri as a friend or at least an asset to this website to leave a comment below. It doesn't have to be a lengthy comment ... a simple "c'mon back" would suffice. I'm looking for numbers here not tributes. My thoughts are that should she see this thread she might realize just how many members REALLY appreciated having her around. If she doesn't respond then I'll copy the whole thread and e-mail it to her. It's the weekend ... many members may have no idea what has taken place so where ever possible spread the word around. Again I repeat ... Those that think I'm overreacting are entitled to that opinion ... perhaps they are right. I just know I will not rest easy without at least trying to do something to correct a situation that never should have happened and most of all ... I just want my "pixie" back.
