I just saw a video on the science channel and it got me to think about the speed of light. According to Einstiens Theory of Relativity nothing in the universe can exceed the velocity of light. Light travels at 299,792,458 meters per second, no matter how its speed is measured. This would mean that it's speed is constant. I have developed a theory that has made me believe that the speed of light can be broken. My theroy is related to a bullet of a gun. When the bullet comes out of the gun it is spinning. the spinning will only stop if the bullet hits somthing. the bullet only slows down by gravity and the friction of air. the spinning of the bullet should continually increase it's speed. The laws of phisics state that an object in motion will stay in motion. so in space if an object is moving foward and spinning at the same time it should increase its speed little by little. But if you attach it to a rocket to get to space and launch it off like a gun shot so the bullet is spinning while the rocket is motion then the craft you launch off the rocket should already be moving more than 25 miles a second. which by my theroy since the closest star is 4.5 billion light years from earth then there should be plenty of room to gain enough speed to pass the speed of light only if it dosn't get hit by an asteroid or hit another planet or asteroid or somthing. If any one sees a flaw in my theroy then please tell me, im in deep thought right now and i hate it!!!! Im sure that theres a flaw so someone tell me please.
