I feel the need to point out the kindness and generosity of kjh000, better known as Klas.
As many of you might know, I had a son in November 2005 who was born 3 months premature. He spent many good and bad days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at our local hospital. After we made through that life-altering experience, my wife and I were asked to be on the NICU Family Advisory Board. Our NICU FAB helps to support families with premature or sick newborns in the NICU. To help raise money we participated in a local charity event called "Run Four The Money." Our participation included a booth for the final days festivities. Our booth was among 105 other organizations so we had to stand out to garner support from the community. To that end, I sent a personal message to Klas and asked if I could use his "Love In A Different Light" as our marquee image for the posters that would front our booth. Klas kindly said yes. The posters brought in a lot of people to our booth and helped us raise money and awareness to support our mission to buy meals for families with newborns in the NICU, give families preemie take home clothes, host a large NICU reunion, and help cover funeral expenses for babies that don't make it home.
I thought I should recognize Klas for his generosity and also point out the power of the Caedes community.
