But I wanted to make some artistic contribution to this site as I love a lot of the pictures on this site and don't use any other for my backgrounds on my pc.

So I'm posting a couple of the poems I've written over the last few months, I hope you guys like them.

Regards, Jamison

Autumn

Leaves falling and gliding
softly out of shadowy skies,

world changing; then slumbering
quietly waiting till' end of time,

all life slows, then sleeps
awaiting the frosts' first kiss,

snow falls, winter calls
now casting white blankets
o'er thy sleeping form.

On Ethics

It has been said
that reason alone
shows whether thou art
alive or dead,

but what about
that strange thing
such a simple thing?
This thing called
Ethics?

Some say it's morals,
others call it names.
But is it not reason?

And should not reason
be a mark of sanity?

If that's so
then Ethics are
quite and very,
important indeed.

Rose

A rose
has curled

it's petals
now furled,

blood red
like wine,

fiery passion
entwined,

gray thorns
grace vines,

yea forever
it binds.

Marriage

It's a beautiful thing
this union of two

Tis' a holy state
of harmonized matrimony
twixt' me and you

Should I fall
or should thou weep
I know, I know
in twain we'll meet

then we'll lift
one another up
back on the road
this journey o' life.

Honesty

Honesty
It has been said
that to lie
is to die

forsooth that is truth
for to hide
or pervert

that precious thing
a rare commodity
o' integrity, of honesty

is to sunder
your own power
or thy happiness,

for little tastes good
or feels nice
when coated in ash
or dead ice.
