Colourful Computing

Apple have lodged a patent for what they describe as a chamelionic computer casing which basically uses banks of tiny embedded LED's to actively change the colour of the computer itself either by user preference setting simple patterns (like tiger stripes presumably) or to visually show the state of the computer's health like red if it's in trouble with something. who cares if they only have 4% global market share - they still continue to dominate in the style stakes although it's unclear what this would be used with - possibly the G5 iMac or the tablet Mac which they have also lodged patents for this month.
