#1 Tip about electronics

Okay, since I've seen this kind of mistake so much...

Specs tell you almost nothing about a product.

For example, a 10 MegaPixel camera can have a ten megapixel resolution, but that just means that you could have ten megapixels worth of a bad picture.

Megahertz or Gigahertz tell nothing about the performance of a computer processor. That's the speed of the synchronization signal , not a benchmark of performance.

Contrast ratios on computer screens are often very high numbers. But what do they tell you? Not much. Especially since they are of ten "dynamic contrast," which basically means the monitor adjusts its brightness along with the colors, which has the appearance of higher contrast, but no real improvement.

What I'm saying is that generally, the marketing specifications of electronics are poor benchmarks of how well something performs.
