Ok, raptorfalcon isn't the only one that can post controversial issues here...I heard on the radio today that a new planned parenthood just opened yesterday in my area. The grand opening was met with a group of supporters and a group of those against. Planned parenthood isn't just an abortion clinic. It is a place where people with not a lot of money (so they can't go to a regular doctor) can go for their reproductive health (which is also confidential).
Now of these protesters yesterday was a local bishop who said that the local law enforcement cannot take holy communion unless they ban abortion. Doesn't this seem a bit rash to you?
Don't get me wrong. I would never even consider having an abortion. I don't feel it is right. But the U.S. is trying to put a ban on abortions...and I think this is very wrong also.
Just watch the movie Dirty Dancing. It shows the horrors (between the lines) of a time when this country didn't allow abortions. People are still going to get them done, only they will get it done in sleezy conditions where it is terribly unsafe for them (and of course for the unborn child).
